Sibling loss brings its own unique set of challenges and emotions. In this session, we’ll explore strategies for coping with grief and finding meaning in the wake of loss. You’ll discover how to honor your sibling’s memory while also nurturing your own well-being and resilience.

Caring for a parent with a medical illness can be emotionally and practically demanding. In this session, we’ll navigate the challenges of parental illness together, exploring ways to support both yourself and your loved one through difficult times. In this session, we’ll explore the emotional aftermath of exposure to violence in the home and its effects on personal resilience. Together, we’ll uncover strategies for healing from past wounds and creating a sense of stability and connection in your life.

Are you a woman aged 36-50 seeking to deepen your faith, enhance your self-esteem, and navigate relational challenges through the lens of Scripture?
Growing up in an environment where you may have felt unsupported or unloved could have led to a diminished sense of self-worth. You might struggle with feelings of insecurity, doubt, and fear of rejection, which can hinder your ability to fully embrace your faith and trust in God’s love and plan for your life. Despite these challenges, there is a deep desire within you to find healing, purpose, and fulfillment. You long to deepen your faith and strengthen your spiritual foundation as a source of guidance and support in overcoming these obstacles.
Joining a supportive and nurturing community like Lily of the Valley offers you a safe space to explore these issues, share your struggles, and receive encouragement and guidance from others who understand and empathize with your journey. (5/23/24): HOW ANGER AFFECTS OTHERS, BUILDING EMPATHY
Participants will examine the impact of their anger on others and explore strategies for cultivating empathy and understanding in interpersonal interactions. By recognizing the ripple effects of their emotions, individuals can foster healthier relationships and communication dynamics.
(5//30/24): TRANSITIONING IN CONVERSATION, DOES TONE AND VOICE INFLECTION TRIGGER ME
This session focuses on the role of tone and voice inflection in triggering emotional responses, particularly anger. Participants will learn to recognize how subtle cues in communication can influence their emotional reactions and develop strategies for managing triggers in conversation.
(6/6/24): DOES MY EMOTIONS BOSS ME
Participants will reflect on the extent to which their emotions influence their thoughts, behaviors, and decision-making processes. Through self-awareness and introspection, individuals can gain greater autonomy over their emotional responses and cultivate a sense of agency in their lives.
(6/13/24): CALMING MYSELF, OFFERING SELF-COMPASSION AND OTHER COMPASSION
In this final session, participants will learn practical techniques for calming themselves during moments of heightened emotion, as well as strategies for practicing self-compassion and extending empathy to others. By fostering a sense of inner peace and compassion, individuals can navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and grace.
SELF-REGULATION WHILE PARENTING
All of the sessions in this section are 1 hour long 9pm – 10pm
The Self-Regulation While Parenting group provides a supportive environment for parents to develop essential skills for regulating their own emotions and behaviors while navigating the challenges of parenting. Through guided discussions and practical exercises, participants learn effective strategies for managing stress, fostering emotional resilience, and promoting positive parent-child interactions.
